Dr. Ellen Bruno Ramsey, Ph. D.

Editor, Director of Research

Back in 1994, Ellen hosted her own financial talk radio call in program entitled Buy, Sell, or Hold and was considered the youngest female radio talk show host in the country.

In the year 2000, after seeing her cycle research anticipating a bear market decline in more than three years, she decided to focus on the completion of her Ph.D. dissertation entitled "Effectiveness and Efficiency of Investment Strategies: A Simulation Model." Her quantitative study compared the various forms of technical analysis versus traditional fundamental analysis with the conclusion that the original cycle analysis research outperformed all scenarios. This analysis is now offered here as the foundation of our various investment newsletters.

Ellen began teaching macroeconomics for Lynn University, as an adjunct professor, in 1994 for the College of Business and Management, after receiving her Master's Degree (with a concentration in International Business). Some of the other courses taught on campus through the years included Organizational Behavior, Business Communications, and Introduction to Computer Applications. In 2001, Ellen received her Ph.D. after completing her dissertation entitled "Effectiveness and Efficiency of Investment Strategies: A Simulation Model." Her quantitative research concluded that the firm's proprietary cycle analysis outperformed other investment strategies as measured by the optimal strategy.

Peter Bruno

Chairman and CEO

Peter Bruno began his career in the securities industry more than 45 years ago with the national investment firm of Loeb Rhoades & Co. In the last five years with Loeb, Peter was the Training Director, responsible for corporate management and sales training and for preparing the firm's representatives for their various securities licensing examinations. In 1972 he left this firm to establish a training school, providing private licensing seminars throughout the country. Peter founded the Institute of Wall Street Studies as an outgrowth of this successful securities licensing training school where over 30,000 stock brokers have received their licenses using seminars and materials originally created by him.

Beginning in 1978, the school staff conducted a series of public information seminars on how the investment market works. Because these seminars were usually filled to capacity, it became apparent that investors wanted the information with which to wield more direct influence over the management of their investment portfolios. It also became obvious that the public wanted a clear alternative to the traditional client/broker relationship.

Concurrently, in conjunction with the late John Scheuer, noted New York talk-radio financial commentator, Peter began to develop a sophisticated market analysis and exacting timing system, based upon conservative strategies and disciplines, for appreciation and return on investment. As an outgrowth of his original work with Scheuer, Peter established several popular investment newsletters, a portfolio management and investment advisory service, as well as a brokerage firm. All of these were sparked by the evolutionary and continued development of a technical, analytical system to provide research and timing information to meet the requirements for various fundamental investment strategies.
